Spot Market Update: Turmeric arrivals slump in major Mandis

According to market sources, turmeric price in the Nizamabad mandi stood steady at 4,200 per quintal. The arrivals in the Nizamabad mandi slumped to 13,000 bags from 20,000 bags.



Turmeric price quoted in the Erode mandi steady at Rs 3,200 per quintal. The arrivals in the Erode mandi slumped to 15,000 bags from 20,000 bags. The Salem variety was trading at Rs 4,200 per quintal.



In the Nanded mandi of Maharashtra, select quality quoted at Rs 4,700 per quintal. The Powder quality traded at Rs 4,100 per quintal.



In the Sangli mandi, Rajapuri variety quoted at Rs 4,500 per quintal and Desi Kadappa was quoting at Rs 4,400 per quintal.



The NCDEX Turmeric April contract moved in the range of Rs 4,290-4,408 and is currently trading lower at Rs 4,308 per quintal, down by Rs 24 or 0.55% per quintal.
