Despite witnessing 30 paise drop in yesterday’s trade, the spot rupee bounced back into the positive zone - with a gain of 15 paise at 68.08, on the back of fresh sell-off in US dollar.
The domestic currency touched a high at 68.05, and is now up 16 paise at 68.06 as against the US dollar.
Meanwhile, January rupee futures have gained 14 paise at 68.23 per dollar.
On the NSE, the counter has seen trades of around 1,82,689 contracts, while the open interest has increased 0.4 percent.
Compared to the European-currency, the Indian rupee is also up 9 paise at 71.38.
