HCL Info net jumps 11.27% to Rs 67 crore
Hardware and systems integrator HCL Infosystems today posted an 11.2 per cent rise in net profit for the fourth quarter ended June 30. Net profit stood at Rs 67.2 crore, compared to Rs 60.4 crore in the year-ago quarter. Gross sales at Rs 3,234 crore were up by 3.2 per cent from Rs 3,132.9 crore in the year-ago period.

MphasiS net rises 18%
MphasiS, the information technology and business process outsourcing (BPO) services provider, has posted an 18.3 per cent growth in net profit to Rs 271.2 crore ($58.5 mn) in the third quarter ended July 31, when compared with the corresponding period last year.

HDFC Standard Life loss at Rs 75 crore
HDFC Standard Life on Tuesday announced that it had ended the first quarter with a reported loss of Rs 75.1 crore primarily due to the new business strain caused by a strong growth in new business premium. First year premium grew 63 per cent to Rs 692.7 crore in the quarter ended June, compared to Rs 424.9 crore a year ago.

Anil Products net up 121%
Anil Products Limited (APL), the flagship company of food and bio-industrial focused Anil group, has recorded a net profit of Rs 8.82 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2010, a 121 per cent increase over Rs 3.98 crore registered for the corresponding period of last fiscal. The Profit Before Tax (PBT) stands at Rs 11.23 crore for the quarter, as against a profit of Rs 5.35 crore in the corresponding period, with rise of 110.05 per cent.

Suzlon losses double in June qtr, at Rs 912 cr
Suzlon Energy, the worlds third largest wind energy turbine maker, had consolidated net loss of Rs 912.2 crore for the quarter ended June, double the Rs 452.7 crore loss in the corresponding period of last year. It blamed lower sales volumes and forex losses of Rs 250 crore.

Tata Power, the countrys largest private power utility, today said its June quarter consolidated net profit fell 42.5 per cent due to a forex loss of Rs 154 crore in the said quarter and an exceptional gain of Rs 232.4 crore in the year-ago quarter.
